Diandian is an AI dolphin my five-year-old calls from a phone — or wakes with a turn of the knob on the desk. Gemini will not speak to anyone under 18, so the call goes through Volcano Engine instead. Pronunciation does not come across cleanly on the hardware, so that path needed a workaround of its own.
